Trial and Error

The Outcry for Justice in the Dennis Dechaine Case

HEARING ENDS, DELIBERATIONS START

dennis tree

The hearing to determine if Maine native Dennis Dechaine will get a retrial ended late Friday afternoon, April 19th. The state and the defense now will supplement their oral arguments with written filings before the judge makes his decision. The process is expected to take up to three months. Dennis is serving a life sentence for a 1988 murder, despite scientific evidence showing his innocence. Recent DNA testing prompted the judge to order the hearing. Although Dennis’s lawyers, John Nale and Stuart Tisdale, are working for free, we still need to cover many expenses. Trial and Error is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization seeking justice for Dennis, and all financial donations are tax-deductible. If you’d like to help, please send a check to Trial and Error, P.O. Box 153, Madawaska Maine 04756, or click on the link below. Thank you!
